The M305 has been designed to offer just that bit more capacity than other little lathes and generally is just less restrictive to use. With a swing capacity over the bed of 12" or 300mm diameter, practical size bowls can be easily produced. A large belt access door has been included to make speed changing fast and simple. Standard features include a rear Handwheel to assist project inspection, Spindle Lock for removing chucks and provision for bed extension make this lathe irresistable.
Speed changing has been made easy by firstly using a much longer belt. The black Headstock guard hinges out of the way so both hands can be used to quickly change the belt position. The longer smooth running belt also provides extremely quiet running.
The heavy duty Index Pin / Spindle Lock has been positioned on top of the Headstock for convenient use. The equally spaced Indexing numbers have been engraved around the exposed shoulder of the main spindle shaft for clear visability and use.
